How do I place an ad?

Here are the exact steps to go through to submit a free ad:

Click on "Sell It!" at the top of the home page
Select a Category – by clicking on the link that best fits your treasure.
Select a Sub Category – that represents what you are trying to sell.
Choose an ad package – that works for you. Most categories have a FREE print and online option – or a FREE online only option. Most online ads include up to 4 photos for FREE. If you want to run a photo with your print ad, choose the Photo Plus! ad package option. (You have to pay for this option, but it's not too expensive.) Your ad will run for 3 weeks and reach hundreds of thousands of people.
Fill in the form - including the "Required Information" areas. If you want your ad to run with Upgrades in Print such as Bold Headlines, More Text, Extra Zones, don't forget to click on the "Upgrade" button. Now click "Continue". If you'd like to save your ad and finish it later, click "Save and Finish Later".
Add photos - This step is where you include an image for your ad in print and online. You'll see an image upload window load into the page. It's really easy to use. Each thumbnail label specifies either WEB or PRINT. Be sure to place the appropriate image in the correct place. The print image is the first one listed. After adding or deleting images, click the "Upload All" button to finish the process. You can crop, rotate, add, and delete from this window. Please note that if you choose an ad package that you must pay for, such as a Photo Plus! ad, you have to include a photo to finish the process. If you start an ad and need to finish it later with a photo, click "Save and Finish Later".
Review Ad – Double–check the information you have submitted for any errors. If you're satisfied with your ad, then click the "Checkout" button. If you'd like to make changes, you can go back by clicking the blue "Back" button. (If your ad is missing information necessary to have it published, clicking on the "Back" button will be your only option.)
We will email you where and when your ad will print and tell you your ad number. It's good to save your ad number should you need to contact us for any reason.

How do I pay for all of this?

Recycler.com accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover through our secure server.
After you have previewed your ad and you are good to go, the next page is Checkout.
Please fill out the form with your billing information, credit card number, Expiration date, and card security code. (The short number on the back of your credit card.)
Click the "Checkout" button to pay for your listing.

How do I modify my ad?

Click "Modify" at the top of the page, or "Log In" from the Sell It Section.
Enter your User Name and Password and click "Log In". If you forgot your user name or password, enter your email address, click "Send Email" and we'll email the information to you. (Please note that your unique user name is emailed to you when your register as a site user.)
You'll now be on an Ads page that shows all the ads you have in progress and live and completed. The page includes your ad number, the date it went live, the date it will run to, and a brief ad description (that you wrote!). It will also show the payments you've made.
Click the "Edit Listing" link next to the ad you want to modify.
Make your changes.
Click the "Continue" button when you are done making changes.
That's it – you keep the same ad number.

How do I delete my ad?

Congratulations! You've sold your item. (We hope that it was because of Recycler!)
Click "Delete" at the top of the page, or "Log In" from the Sell It Section.
Enter your User Name and Password and click "Log In". If you forgot your user name or password, enter your email address, click "Send Email" and we'll email the information to you. (Please note that your unique user name is emailed to you when your register as a site user.)
You'll now be on an Ads page that shows all the ads you have in progress and live and completed. The page includes your ad number, the date it went live, the date it will run to, and a brief ad description (that you wrote!). It will also show the payments you've made.
Click the "Cancel Listing" link next to the ad you want to Delete.
That's it – you keep the same ad number.

How do I renew my ad?

Thank you in advance for renewing. We are hopeful that you sell it on Recycler!
Click "Renew" at the top of the page, or "Log In" from the Sell It Section.
Enter your User Name and Password and click "Log In". If you forgot your user name or password, enter your email address, click "Send Email" and we'll email the information to you. (Please note that your unique user name is emailed to you when your register as a site user.)
You'll now be on an Ads page that shows all the ads you have in progress and live and completed. The page includes your ad number, the date it went live, the date it will run to, and a brief ad description (that you wrote!). It will also show the payments you've made.
Click the "Renew Listing" link next to the ad you want to extend.
We'll email you your new ad number within 24 hours.

How do I add a photo to my ad?

We all know that a picture is worth 2000 words, so please add an image to your Recycler ads. Most ads on Recycler.com include up to 4 photos for FREE, so be sure to take advantage of it. If you would like a photo to run in your print Recycler ad (and reach even more people in and around Southern California, purchase a Photo Plus! ad.
You can come back at any time after you have placed an ad to add photos, change them, take some down. Please note that if you choose a Photo Plus! ad or any other ad package that you are paying for, you'll need to add photos before your ad actually runs in print or online. We figure that since you are paying for it, we want it to run as long as possible. Just click "Save and Finish Later" if you want to add photos another time.
This is how our photo process works: As you are placing an ad you'll come to a page for adding photos. You'll be asked to download our photo application. (Click "Yes" because it's really easy to use). Then you'll see an image upload window load into the page. (It may take a few seconds.) Each thumbnail label specifies either WEB or PRINT. How do I become a site user?

You are automatically a site user once you register an account on Recycler.com. You don't need to be a member to browse or search items. However, when you list on the site, we need to be able to link your information to your ad. That way you can modify, delete, or renew without having to enter your ad again.

How do I log in the next time?

Click on "Modify" or "Renew" at the top of the home page (www.recycler.com)
Fill out the User Name and password fields.
Click "Log In"

To look at your own ads, click on the "Modify" at the top of the homepage (www.recycler.com).
