Misfit Domestic Medium Hair Cat

Updated 04/19/2012 Misfit is an adorable cat with a unique calico/tabby coat. This gorgeous girl LOVES to be where people are and often follows her foster parents like a shadow. She has the mannerisms of a funny little kitten, loves wand/feather toys, and while she doesn't like being held, she loves being pet and sitting next to you while you're on your computer or watching TV. We suspect she was poorly socialized when she was younger as she is a bit nervous around other animals and think she'd do best as an only cat. Misfit can be a bit quirky- she loves hanging out with your in the bathroom and jumping in the tub after you shower! Not to mention all her silly faces! After a very scary ordeal at a local high-kill shelter, Misfit was put into one of our foster homes where she unfortunately proceeded to pee outside of the litterbox. She was put into another one where she slowly improved with some one-on-one work and a very slow introduction to other animals (proper introductions are crucial for nervous cats!). Misfit has been accident-free for 4 months at this point! We expect this trend to continue and will gladly work with any home willing to give her a try. We have no idea what Misfit's life was like before she came to us, but we suspect some degree of neglect. She wants to love people, but just seems so uncertain at times… We expect she will blossom in her forever home. Won't you give her the second chance she deserves? All of our kitties are micro-chipped (which will be registered at no extra cost at the time of adoption), up to date on their shots, spayed or neutered, have had preventative care (including parasite treatment) and treatment for any illness they may have had while in our care- plus, one month of free pet insurance!
