Levi Hound - Shiba Inu Dog

Hi, my name is Levi! Life for me has been a little "ruff" - my former owners were not very nice. When I was just a little puppy they tied a black string around my neck very tightly and then tied me to a fence. I was there for several days with no food or water. I knew I had to get away if I was ever going to have any hope! I was finally able to chew through the string but had no where to go so I started to wander around looking for food and water and someone to help me. Finally, one day, a lady saw me slowly walking, dragging the string behind me. She sat down and called to me. Well, she didn't have to ask twice! I ran over as fast as I could and jumped into her lap! I was so very hot and tired and thirsty and for some reason, I just knew she was going to help me! She told me she volunteered for REDCOLLAR RESCUE, and that they would make sure I was never alone or hungry again! She took me straight to the vet where I was cleaned up, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped! While there, I won over the hearts of everyone by making my "rounds" and giving each person their chance to cuddle with me! And that's when they decided to call me Levi - "to join or accompany" - because I am happiest when I am with the people I love. But aren't we all? I love to play and walk great on the leash! Needless to say, I love people and I'm ready to play fetch or tug-of-war with anyone at a moments notice. I am crate-trained and well-mannered. I play well with other dogs - especially the girls!
