Hi everyone. My name is Niko and I am very sad to say that I ended up in a shelter in pretty bad shape. Not exactly what I had planned for my “retirement years”. I am a senior pug, weighing in around 20 lbs. I was surrendered to animal services by my humans with a large growth on my eyelid, pretty bad dental disease, a weak bladder and disc problems. I guess they thought I had lived all the years I needed to, so they left me here to be “put to sleep”. Thank goodness, SOMEONE thought I was worth saving and called the rescue angels to bail me out. So now, I am enjoying a wonderful foster home and very nice foster mom who makes me feel special. Got my teeth cleaned and the growth removed and getting lots of good food and medicine. My foster mom said to tell you I am sweet, laid back and friendly. I don’t mind other dogs or cats, but I can be very protective of my food so she gives it to me in my crate. If you’d like to know more and maybe become part of the best years of my life, please complete an application and ask for Niko, the handsome older gentlepug!
