COURTESY POST Sparkle was rescued at the age of 3 months. She had been adopted one time, at the age of 19 months, by city dwellers and returned because of her penchant for climbing ANY type fence and exploring her surroundings. Her adopters were afraid for her safety on the busy street where they lived. Sparkle regards any fence as a challenge and is able to find a way over, around or through even a 6 foot solid privacy fence! She does NOT "run away" but does explore, have a good run and then returns to the front porch or wherever she can be closest to her humans. The danger is that she has NO "car sense" and must live in a rural area with little or no traffic and be tethered, or indoors, during times the family is not at home. Sparkle is a high energy girl, loves everybody, gets along with other dogs (unless they help themselves to HER food) and is child friendly. She like to chase cats if they run but does not harm them. She is housebroken and calm and well mannered indoors. Outdoors she loves her dog house and spends a lot of time ON TOP of it, sleeping or surveying her world. She would make a great agility dog but lacks the retrieving desire required for eligibility for Agility Dog organizations. Sparkle is affection, intelligent and perhaps a bit ADHD. She needs someone who will spend time with her and seriously school her. She is current on all vaccinations, heartworm free and on monthly preventative. She is treated as needed with Frontline spray for flea control. She is micro chipped and comes up an up to date health record.
