Three handsome brothers were rescued from a hard life in a noisy, dusty auto salvage yard on the mid-Peninsula, where they had been born to a feral mom. They came to us a little older than we usually take in kittens, but were so handleable from the start that we could not help but want to see them find loving, safe homes. All three of these boys have sweet, playful dispositions, even though they were all initially cautious, quiet, and guarded with their fosterers. None of these boys has ever done anything more overt than hiss…and, Sunny, has never even done that: not once, not one hiss.Sunny has a lovely medium-length orange tabby coat, plumed tail, tufted ears, and good-sized paws, all of which could indicate some Maine Coon blood in his background. Even his gentle, mellow temperament is reminiscent of the Maine Coon breed. He is a sweetheart, and the picture of good health, despite his humble beginnings.Sunny has adjusted to interacting with people, and he clearly enjoys it. He always displays his sunny disposition, follows you around or lies at your feet, enjoys being stroked, has a fondness for small rattle balls (ping-pong balls are aces!) and toy mice, and loves feather wands. He tolerates and enjoys watching the antics of the spirited tortie girl sharing the room with him, but maintains his gentlemanly demeanor, even while she shows off for him by sailing around the room and 'poking' at him to, 'Chase me, chase me!' Even when she chews on his head or gives him a forced grooming, he takes it all in stride, with good humor.Sunny would love to become your home and lap companion, possibly with his foster-roommate, Karita, with one of his brothers, or with your mellow, playful kitty. The Fine Print — While Community Cat Rescue would love to make our adoptable cats and kittens available to everyone, everywhere, we must limit our adoption service area to San Francisco Peninsula cities and towns. We simply do not have the volunteer-power or financial resources to make home visits (required for all adoptions), delivery of adopted cats/kittens and follow-up visits outside the Peninsula. An occasional, rare exception might be made, but it is not the rule. Please note: Sunny should be adopted with a littermateIndoor home preferredMore information & application
