Clairee is a super sweet 12 lb female who is 8 years old. She is shy around new people, especially men, but once she realizes that you just want to be her friend, she loves to cuddle and be close to her humans. Clairee loves cuddling on the couch with her foster mom and burrowing under the covers next to her during nap time. Clairee sleeps in a crate at night, although she would much rather be cuddling with her people. When Clairee isn't cuddling, she spends most of her time napping in her favorite overstuffed chair. Clairee loves to eat, and will come running into the kitchen and will dance and prance around her foster mom while she gets the food ready. Even though she only has one tooth left, Clairee also loves eating treats as long as her foster mom breaks them up into little pieces. She loves being around other dogs, and when she first arrived at her foster home, she kept trying to cuddle with the two big greyhounds and the yorkie (who didn't want to cuddle with her). She ignores the cat in the home, although she does have to be blocked out of the room that the kitty litter box is in. Clairee quickly picked up on potty training, and does all of her business outside. She's not thrilled to go out when it's cold or wet, but can easily be bribed with a treat. She even lets her foster mom know when she needs to go outside, although it is sometimes subtle. Clairee is learning to walk on a leash, but still finds everything going on around her to be a bit overwhelming. She frequently stops to stare at people, cars, or noises in the park and has to be gently reminded to start walking again. She does seem to enjoy going to the park as long as there isn't too much going on and it's warm out. Clairee has recently started playing with toys, and loves to chew on and carry around the little, stuffed mice that belong to the cat. Clairee is a sweet girl who deserves a lot of love! She would love to be in a home with other dogs to keep her company. She would do best in a calm home, and any children would need to be older, as she is easily frightened by loud noises and sudden movements.
