We do adoptions in different areas of CA and Las Vegas *NO CA: We will be doing adoptions next on Saturday, January 12th 10:00am - 6:00pm at the Bay Area Pet Expo at the San Jose Fairgrounds. Look for our group in booth #25 and the dogs will be in the Super Adoption Area. If you want to meet a specific dog you must submit an application. Otherwise the dog you are interested in may not be at adoptions. *So. CA: We do adoptions by appointment once an application has been submitted. *Las Vegas: We will set up appointments with our Vegas adopters once an application has been submitted and interview completed. *Please see note at the very bottom of the page regarding adoptions. * All dogs are spayed or neutered, shots current (DHPPC, Bordatella and Rabies), heartworm tested negative and are microchipped.* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application.* We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted.* We do not ship our dogs for any reason.* Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy.* If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. He has been neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He was at deaths door when rescued. He had the worst case of mange the doctor had every seen in a cat, and his eyes were swollen shut from a respitory infection. He would not have lasted much longer without help. It was a long recovery, but with lots of love and a new lease on life, he has become a very happy cat. He is energetic and fun-loving. He can play with the feather-wand for hours a day. He loves to be pet but not picked up. He is a real talker too. He loves cat treats and running up and down the cat trees in his foster home. He is currently living with other cats but needs to be in a home that there is only probably one other cat. As he is going through adolescense right now and is trying to dominate the other older cats in the home. He willl need to be an indoor cat only. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)*If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
