ACER Saccharium Tree zones A2, A3; 1-9, 12, 14-24. Native to eastern North America. Grows fast to 40-100ft. tall and wide. Open form, with semipendulous branches; casts fairly open shade. Silvery gray bark peels in long strips on old trees. Leaves 3-6in. wide, five lobed, light green above, silvery beneath.
